ILLUSTRATION: Joy by Dior

So we've just had the most surprising, sunny couple of days. Completely unexpected and out-of-place, I can safely say that the general mood in the UK has been lifted. To commemorate the emerging spring, I've done a new fragrance illustration. Complete with full blooms and pastel colours, the Dior fragrance is the perfect celebration of the new season.

ILLUSTRATION: Gigi Hadid

I constantly struggle with backgrounds, textures and fonts - this is something I am fully aware of. Years of illustrating and it does get easier, but it's a still a struggle to this day. Here is my illustration of Gigi Hadid from the Met Gala. Below are the examples of the struggle I mentioned, so let me know which you prefer.

ILLUSTRATION: Emily Ratajkowski

With Oscar season just having passed, I was looking back at some of my favourite looks from previous years and this look from Emily Ratajkowski is one that definitely stands out. I absolutely adore the the black gown she wore which consisted of a plain bodice with a sweetheart neckline (which of course highlighted Emrata's fantastic figure!) and an elegant sheer skirt with black embroidery. This stunning gown was a creation of Australian designer Steven Khalil, and was one that made the headlines - and for all the right reasons.

Obviously, I took it upon myself to illustrate this look. Added far more colour than I'm usually used to and using a mixture of pencils and Adobe software I achieved this below. Hope you like!

ILLUSTRATION: Dolce and Gabbana

So those of you who have been following me for a while will be familiar with this lovely lady. This is actually one of my illustration from my uni days. It was originally based on a D&G Spring/Summer collection. The brand came out with a red on red collection which was one of my absolute favourite!

As I haven't had the time to produce a new illustration, I thought I'd give this old one a quick revamp. In comparison to my illustrations now, I think the style differs slightly. The lace overlay is blurry and I'm not 100% on the skirt. That being said, I don't hate it. Hope you like it!

ILLUSTRATION: Kaia Gerber

It's not much of a surprise now is it? I think it's becoming clear that the format of my blog is to: A) post about something I'm obsessing over and B) to draw it. Hence, illustration beneath...

ILLUSTRATION: Shiran Abergil x Efrat Cassouto

Just thought I'd share my newest illustrations with you guys...

So I recently discovered a new designer through the muddle of Instagram. Through this discovery I also found a fantastic jewellery designer and a model I was unfamiliar with - all from one picture! ... aah the joys of Insta..

Anyway I haven't been able to shake this picture out of my head; I knew I needed to buy the earrings or illustrate the picture. Needless to say, I opted for the latter...

ILLUSTRATION: Fendi Autumn/Winter 2017

Was so inspired by the collection from Fendi (see post) that I decided to illustrate one of my favourite looks from it. This look stood out to me because of the mixture of textures and combination of black fabrics. I adore the details as well as the silhouette, and the overall styling of this outfit is so subtle, wearable and chic.

This illustration enabled me to experiment with creating different textures. Obviously with the use of Adobe Photoshop, I was able to achieve this look, however, this year my aim is to strengthen my Adobe skills. We'll see how it goes...
